We’re getting close guys! This week I’m 37 weeks and Buster’s arrival is almost knocking at the door. Last week we had the honor of taking part in Adam & Des’s wedding in Brainerd, Minnesota. The resort that they got married at, Cragun’s, was a pretty cool place and I could definitely see us going back. Despite a little bit of rain, the wedding went very smooth and most importantly I think it made Des and Adam very happy. Even though the wedding was small, you felt a lot of love from everyone that shared in their special day.

Now that the wedding is over, I feel better about getting more prepared for Buster’s arrival. I felt like if I packed my bag before the wedding that I’d be jinxing myself and end up in labor before I got to walk down the isle. So we’ve done a couple more things around the house preparing for the big day. It’s hard to know what you really need to do sometimes. I don’t want to get carried away, but you get a lot of advice!

Things at the doctor’s office have gone well. Buster is right on track for size. Yesterday Dr. Woodland measured me at exactly 37cm which is right on track. For those of you non-preggos – the distance from pubic bone (symphysis public) to the top of your belly (fundus) should match in centimeters to the week of gestation. Interesting, no?

Dr. Woodland thinks Buster is currently only about 6.5 pounds and should be 7-7.5 by the due date. I was pretty surprised because I was expecting a big ole’ baby! Buster is still positioned with the head down and that is has been the case pretty much the whole pregnancy. The heart-rate was 130 yesterday and I was already 80% effaced. So things are moving along and it’s a crazy feeling to know that things are actually progressing! Ready or not here Buster comes.
